129 Gout. Costiveness. Coughs. For the Gout take some black currant leaves,- & bind them round the affected part, - fresh ones when you can, dries ones, when you cannot get the others. Mr dickie's prescription for a cough (most excellent) best Gum arabic (pounded) - 2 ounces Virgin Honey - 1 ounce Boiling Water - 1 pint well dissolved & when cold - add 4 drachms of the camphorated tincture of opium. - take of this two table spoonfuls going to bed, getting up, & at noon. - a little aperient médecine or pill she be taken at the same time
