124 Coughs Syrup of white poppies - 3 tablespoonfuls 2 ounces & a half Tincture of Squills - half an ounce -1 table spoonful mix them together - & take of these a tea spoonful in a little water 3 times per day, & if you like Double the dose at night. a grown person Dr Rowley For my treasure may 21st/98 a Cough, fever, &c 1st give him, 12 or 15 grains of powder of julep & 30, grains of Cremor Tartar mixed in honey, & after the Bowels are well cleansed, give 2 grains of James's powder with a quarter of a grain of [[underline]] Calomel mixed in honey or jelly [[/underline]] every six hours. - To make the doses, you may take 8 grains James's pow. & 1 grain of calomel mix them together & divide it into [[underline]] 4 [[/underline]] parcels.
