84 Rheumatism in the Gums - 4 ounces of decoction of Bark 1 ounce of Tincture of Myrrh mixed together & put a little warm Water. - on the Shoulders, &c. One tea spoonful of Laudamun, 3 tea spoonfuls of spirits of hartshorn, 2 ditto of sweet oil. - mixed & rub with it the affected part either on hot flannel or the naked hand. -- Stein's Opodeldoc is the best recipe for any Rheumatic pain - rubbing with it - & taking James's powders.
