76: -- Coughs from the Stomach -- My Treasure has often a Cough proceeding from relaxation of the [[underline]] Gland & Stomach [[/underline]] - this is not the effect of any fixed disease (since every part performs its functions) therefore it must arise from [[underline]] distressing the powers [[/underline]] [[underline]] of digestion, by never suffering the Stomach [[/underline]] [[underline]] to be free from food.[[/underline]] -- the consequence will be that 'ere long - his Bowels will become weakened, by frequent purging, & he will be constantly plagued with the sore throat, both which in a little time - medicine will not cure, - Nature may, by taking away his appetite for a time. -- To preserve him free from complaint, & to give him full vigour - he ought to eat less, but his food should continue equally nourishing. -- however in order
