75 Stone - Gravel - Soap pills for the Gravel by Dr. Rowley 1 quarter of an ounce of almond soap 40 Grains of powdered Rhubarb half of a quarter of an ounce of Chio turpentine beat them together into a mass - form of this moderate sized Pills - & of these take 3, - 3 times per day (in all [[underline]] 9 [[/underline]] in the 24 hours.) -- Dr. Grey's prescription in 1808 for the Gravel Take of Juniper Berries bruised an [[deletion]] ounce [[/deletion]] & a half Boiling Water - ten ounces, - macerate the above for 12 hours, & strain it, - to this infusion add - compound spirit of Juniper one ounce Sweet spirit of Nitre two drams Tincture of Bark [[deletion]] one [[/deletion]] ounce, & of Syrup of white Poppies two ounces. -- four table spoonfuls of the above mixture [[deletion]] four or five [[/deletion]] to be taken three times a day - for some time.
