59 Mr. Potts' cure for a Burn A poultice [[underline]] of Oat Meal & the coldest Water can be [[/underline]] had, put on & changed as often as possible, that is, Every quarter of an hour. -- For a Burn, bruise, or violent blow, or sore take House Leak, pound it, pap it, & mix the liquor with an Equal quantity of cream. The above is equally good for any bad sting. Balsam for Cuts, & Green Wounds, also inwardly for Coughs, Ulcers, on the Gums &c &c Take of Balsam of [[deletion]] Tolu [[/deletion]] Tolu one ounce of Gums Guaiacum & Benjamin of Each 3 ounces of [[unclear]] 2 ounces, of Succotrine aloes Myrrh, & Olibanum of Each half an ounce and of rectified Sp. of Wine two quarts, powder the ingredients, put them in a stone bottle with the spirits of Wine, put the Bottle near Enough the fire, or in the hot sun in summer for six days, - the Balsam will then be ready & take of it from [[underline]] 20 to 50 [[/underline]] drops in the .
