50 Coughs Take of Paregoric Elixir & spirits of Sal Volatile each one Tea Spoonful in a little Barley water 3 or 4 times a day - # another [[underline]] One grain [[/underline]] of Tartar Emetic (or antimonium Tartarisium) dissolved in [[underline]] 4 ounces [[/underline]] of Water (that is 8 tablespoonfuls) & [[underline]] 40 [[/underline]] Grains of Sal Nitre added to it, & shaken Together till the Nitre be dissolved - of this give a Child a desert spoonful every [[underline]] 4 [[/underline]] hours another Take the 1st morning of a cold, two raw Oysters fasting & continue every day /fasting/ to add one to the number until you arrive at taking six; these must be taken the moment you wake; & need not prevent your Following any other course of medicine, or Regimen.
