[[underline]] 48 [[/underline]] Coughs - drink most proper - For a drink in cases of fever, Take weak Lemonade & to a Pint of it, add [[underline]] 30 [[/underline]] Grains of Powdered Nitre. -- Crem of Tartar, Lemon [[deletion]] pell [[/deletion]] [[insertion]] Peel [[/insertion]], & Sugar is also a cooling pleasant drink. -- Dissolve one dram of Nitre, & one dram of Cremor Tartar in a pint of Water, & sweeten it with honey, or Sugar. -- for myself - 1798 Dr. Rowley Drink for my Love by Dr. Rowley when his Blood seemed heated & his face out May 1800 Dissolve 1/4 of an ounce - (which is two drams, or [[underline]] 120 [[/underline]] Grains of [[underline]] powdered Sal Nitre [[/underline]] in a quart of Water and sweeten it, so as to make it palatable. & make this yr drink. -- Orgeat made by pounding a few blanched Almonds, & Sugar, - & one or 2 bitter ones - & pour cold water mix it well by [[unclear]] upon it ...
