45 quick Purges Infusion of Senna - 14 drachms Tincture of Senna - two drachms Burnt Magnesia - half a dram Powdered Rhubarb - half a scruple mix then, - & take the whole, - it will operate directly. -- Dr. Rowley Xber 24th 1805 12 Grains of Jalep 30 Grains of Calcined Magnesia, mixed in peppermint Water, - it will purge in an hour, - P. August Xber 24th - 1805 Cathartic Extract - half a dram Powder of Scamony, & of 15 Grains Ipecacuhanna - 15 Grains Elixir proprietatis, Enough to form a Mass to be divided into 12 equal pills - my french pills Camphorated mixture 7 drachms Infusion of Senna - 7 drachms Syrup of Saffron - half a drachm mixed for a draught this was ordered for me by Dr. Bailey & is the best, & pleasantest purge I ever took - June 2d 1806 # & taken twice a day
