37 2d day a laxative of 15 Grains of Rhubard, & a teaspoonful of magnesia should keep the body open. -- Acid Elixir of Vitriol It is a good strengthener of [[deletion]] the Stomach, excellent in debility & [[/deletion]] absolutely necessary joined with Bark in all fevers of the low intermittent, or putrid kind - prevalent in hot countries, & in damp rainy Weather, & is low marshy places. -- This Elixir must never be given if there be [[underline]] difficulty of breathing [[/underline]], [[underline]] Cough [[/underline]], or [[underline]] asthma [[/underline]]. [[underline]] 5 drops [[/underline]] may be given in one dose to Children in the Scarlet fever. - from [[underline]] 10 to 20 [[/underline]] may be given to grown up people, in a cup of Water Whenever it is given improperly, or does not seem to agree with the Stomach, [[underline]] magnesia [[/underline]] [[underline]] Chalk [[/underline]], or 10, or 13 Grains of Salt of Wormwood
