33 Drowning When the body is taken out of the Water, wrap it closely in any warm covering, & remove it with the face upwards, & the Head a little raised, moving it very gently. lay it in a hot bed, or in a [[underline]] very [[/underline]] hot Sun, dry the body completely with hot cloths, & rub very diligently with hot flannels, on the side next the Heart. Apply to the hands & feet hot cloths wrung out of hot water, & heated Bricks: put Bladders half filled with hot Water, or bags filled with hot Sand, or any thing of the sort, so the Stomach & arm pits. - Let a healthy person of the same Sex lye down with the Sufferer uncloathed, on the right side & be employed in gently rubbing. If a Tub of hot water can be procured put the Patient up to the feet in it (this must not be too hote) not indeed any of the applications. - When the body has been half an hour in the Water, it must be taken out, wiped very dry, & put again ^ [[insertion]] in [[/insertion]] the warm bed, & treated
