[[underline]] 27 [[/underline]] For the Whites, or in any case of Weakness. -- As ^ [[insertion]] a [[/insertion]] usual Drink, have Isinglas, & Port Wine mixed. - (The Isinglas must 1st be boiled in Water.) - another Strengthening receipt Sago, Pearl Barley, Hartshorn Shavings, of each two ounces. Simmer them in [[underline]] 3 pints [[/underline]] of Water until reduced To [[underline]] 1 pint [[/underline]]. - it may be strained, & drank with either Wine, or Milk or Lemon, & sweetened according to the taste. - another [[underline]] 1 ounce [[/underline]] of Sago - [[underline]] 1 ounce[[/underline]] of Rice - [[underline]] 2 [[/underline]] ounces of Comfrey Root - [[deletion]] & [[/deletion]] [[underline]] half an ounce [[/underline]] of Isinglas [[underline]] 4 [[/underline]] quarts of Water, simmer all three together, till reduced to [[underline]] 2 [[/underline]] quarts; then strain it. when
