[[underline]] 21 [[/underline]] In purging for Children, &c The Yolk of an egg beat up with barley Water, (a little Sugar & nutmeg mixed with it) is a [[underline]] very nutritious [[/underline]], & mucilaginous drink. - The yolk of an Egg is equally good beat up with warm water, when Barley cannot be procured for Colds. (to cure a purging) [[underline]] Receipt by [[/underline]] Mrs. Grant by Wm Grant One ounce of burnt hartshorn, powdered & boiled in a Quart of Water till reduced to a pint a bit of Cinnamon, & a little fine sugar Two table spoonfuls to be taken after each motion. -- Drink Water four table spoonfuls - Magnesia 30 grains prepared Chalk 30 grains; Tincture of Cinneman, 2 teaspoonfuls mixed all together, with a little sugar & to be taken Every 3 hours while the Bowels remain affected.
