[[underline]] 12 [[/underline]] -- [[underline]] Coughs - Colds - Feverishness [[/underline]] - Any Early Wind is bad for a Cough. - A North East produces Coughs therefore should be guarded against, but when joined with Rain or a moist atmosphere that wind is most injurious. - receipt for Coughs -- Take of the best sweet oil 1 Tablespoonful of Water -- 3 Table Spoonfuls Salt of Tartar -- 8, or 10 - Grains Elixir Paregoric -- [[underline]] 1 [[/underline]] Tea Spoonful. of these make a draught by shaking them together in a Phial, add sugar to it, & give a Table spoonful [[underline]] 3 [[/underline]] or [[underline]] 4 [[/underline]] time a day to a Child; a grown up person may take the whole each time. -- N.B. if the person be nervous, or
