To Her late Majesty's Council - Jany: 22. 1819. The King pass'd the whole of yesterday in the same tranquillity - slept half an hour in the earliest part of the afternoon, and five hours without intermission last night. Sir Henry Halford address'd the King as soon as His Majesty had dined - and having repeated His humble desire to ask His Majesty how He did, and given His name, the King appear'd forcibly impress'd, collected Himself - used the manner of a silent solemn enthusiastic appeal by lifting up His eyes and His hands - but return'd no answer; and precluded all further address by striking rapidly the keys of His harpsichord. A second effort was made to engage His Majesty's attention
