1811 repressed the violence, broke out at midnight; no sleep. This morning irrational. For the last six nights a new symptom has been noticed in the most offensive degree, with design fouling the Bed. [[note]] Septr. 24th. [[/note]] Took laudanum and Emetic Tartar, and was in a delirium till four this morning. Then slept two hours and a half from five oclock. Awoke composed, received the Physicians mildly. and retained his attention longer than usual. His delusions discovered themselves, which closed the visit. [[note]] 25th. [[/note]] H. M. walked about His room which He has not done lately. Slept in his chair from Two 'till Nine. Went to bed drowsy, slept two hours, then talked and sung. [[note]] 26th: [[/note]] Speculations more wild than usual. Put to bed by force, slept three hours and a half. When awake, required restraint. This morning expressed all his delusions. --
