1811. night passed without sleep in struggles and noise. Is kept in restraint. He knew his Physicians this morning, but too violent to hold intercourse. Remained in Bed and kept silence. [[note]] Septr. 4th. [[/note]] Slept from Nine at night till between one and two. On awaking began to talk with eagerness and tossing of the body. In the morning talked rationally a little while, but soon blended erroneous notions, became irritable, was dressed with difficulty refused his dinner, flies into passions and refers to the delusions. 5th. Slept seven hours, but awoke irritable and required restraint: seems occupied with some notions of his own. Has been in a state of violence and coercion all day. [[note]] 6th. [[/note]] The day passed wholly in restraint. [[note]] 7th: [[/note]] Went quietly to bed; slept two hours and a half. Between one and two required restraint. This morning good humoured to the Physicians, but betrayed all His delusions; His voice loud, His eyes in constant motion, but restraint not required. Remained in Bed all day. Refused dinner.
