1811. on many Individuals; required restraint. [[note]] Augt. 19th. [[/note]] In the afternoon became so turbulent that more close confinement and restraint became necessary at nine o'Clock. This made him outrageous. 60 drops of Laudanum, 1 gr. Tart: Emetic and some salts were given. This made Him less violent, but produced no sleep. [[note]] 20th: [[/note]] H M has been talking to Imaginary persons, at times high, then low, then in whispers . Has had no sleep, has some cough; the Pulse not rapid. [[note]] 21st. [[/note]] Fell asleep at half past eight did not awake till half past five this morning. Since that time has been silent, and covered Himself in the Bed-clothes. Part of the day spent in sleeping. When awake talking, but not loud; sometimes singing. Coughs a little. Pulse 64. [[note]] 22nd. [[/note]] Slept half an hour at a time twice last night; violent probably from the irritation of blisters which had been applied. This morning manner mild, but notions wild as ever.
