Windsor Castle. March 12. 1813. Sir, The King disclosed more signs of irritation after breakfast yesterday, and before His usual hour of dining indulged in so violent a fit of passion as precluded that meal entirely. His Majesty became more composed, in the evening, and we were rejoiced to find Him assent to retire to bed without reluctance. His Majesty slept six hours and a half last night with one short interval only. He is dispos'd to talk this morning. His countenance has not recoverd its serenity, and the temper of His Majesty's mind appears quick and sensitive. I am, Sir, most respectfully, your Royal Highness faithful Servant Henry Halford.
