[[underline]] Sir [[/underline]] I found the King on my return soon after eight oclock yesterday evening beginning to be considerably excited, and this excitement increas'd so much before midnight as to render it necessary to have recourse again to Restraint. His Majesty slept about two hours and a quarter in the night. When awake the King was often silent, but restless, and every now and then very violent. His Majesty did not refuse nourishment.
