however he does not much talk upon it now his natural good sense taught him reserve & caution where he might often offend, but the internal mischief remains the same he does not ridicule Religion, but he still thinks Religion ridiculous: This bias given to his youthful fancy, Reason in its maturity cannot counteract, it is so difficult to bring the human mind to contemplate with reverence what it has once been accustomed to treat with division.
