[[underline]] The Poles of the World [[/underline]] are two points in the heavens opposite to each other; [[underline]] the Axis [[/underline]] is the straight line drawn thro' the Earth on which it is supposed to make its diurnal motion reaching from Pole to Pole. [[underline]] The Equator [[/underline]] is the great Circle all of its parts being equally distant from the Poles and dividing the heavens into two Equal part called [[underline]] Northern and Southern hemispheres. [[/underline]] [[underline]] The Ecliptic [[/underline]] is a great circle passing thro' the [[underline]] Equator [[/underline]] in two opposite points, and contains these [[underline]] 12 [[/underline]] following signs [[underline]] Arius, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagitarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pices. -- The Sun [[/underline]] is ˄ [[addition]] said to make [[/addition]] [[deletion]] s [[/deletion]] its annual motion round it, which marks the Seasons, length of days, &c.
