of a fine blue colour. -- [[underline]] Copper [[/underline]] is found in Water by [[underline]] Volatile Alkali, [[/underline]] or [[underline]] prussian Blue, [[/underline]] mixed in with a little [[underline]] Linctus, [[/underline]] and as every vegetable is turned red by an [[underline]] Alkaline [[/underline]] mixture, the prussian [[underline]] Blue becomes [[/underline]] of that colour. -- [[underline]] [[unclear]] [[/underline]] is a compound of [[underline]] Acid, [[/underline]] and [[underline]] Vegetable Alkaly. -- [[/underline]] [[underline]] Copper [[/underline]] contains a quantity of [[underline]] Lead [[/underline]] & [[underline]] cold Water [[/underline]] or cold Acids corrodes it. [[underline]] hot [[/underline]] of either sort has no effect upon it. -- to find if there be [[underline]] Copper [[/underline]] in any thing; take a solution of [[underline]] Water, [[/underline]] and [[underline]] Spirits of Hartshorn, [[/underline]] and it will change the colour immediately. [[underline]] Tin [[/underline]] contains a quantity of [[underline]] Arsenic [[/underline]] & yeilds to all [[underline]] Acids. [[/underline]] a Solution of Tin in [[underline]] Aqua Regia [[/underline]] mixed with [[underline]] Cochineal [[/underline]] dies any thing [[underline]] Scarlet.-- [[/underline]] To discover whether there be [[underline]] Lead [[/underline]] in anything you eat, or drink take four ounces of [[underline]] Lime Water [[/underline]] mix it with a Tea Spoonful of [[underline]] Sulphur, [[/underline]] le it stand [[underline]] 24 [[/underline]] hours, before the fire stirring it ever now, & then when it is thus prepared, and that the [[underline]] Lime [[/underline]]
