Supporters belonging to coats of arms are the prerogative only of Dukes, Marquises, Earls, Viscounts, Barons, Knights of the Garter, and Knights of the Bath who both receive on their creation a grant of supporters. -- As to the Marshalling Coats of arms, it is disposing divers of them in one Escutcheon, such as betoken marriages, or gifts granted by Princes, & it is to be observed when the coat of arms of a married couple descended of distinct families are to be put together in one Escutcheon, the field of their respective arms is conjoined [[underline]] Paleways [[/underline]] and blazoned or coloured [[underline]] Party per Pale; [[/underline]] Baron, and femme, two coats & in which case the Baron's arms are to be on the dexter side, and the femme's arms, on the sinister side. -- if a Wid [[deletion]] ow [[/deletion]] [[addition]] ower [[/addition]] marry again his late, & present wife's arms are both to be placed on the sinister side in the Escutcheon with
