His life will then be as mine is, -- something [[underline]] foreign to himself, [[/underline]] --& he may be, --(as I often am) thinking, & speculating & exulting in the regions of happiness & worth, while he is chained down to walk or rather to crawl, in the paths of wretchedness & sufferance.--
