St James's. Novr. 15th. 1819. Dear Mayo Moving from Dover and remaining till the day before yesterday at Chatham have prevented till now my acknowledging Yours of 5th. instant: it was [[underline]] your [[unclear]] bad [[/underline]] writing and [[underline]] not my [[/underline]] mistake I directed to [[underline]] Genoa [[/underline]] instead of [[underline]] Geneva [[/underline]]. I hope George will be prudent and I make no doubt his marriage will eventually be all I can wish: I arrived here only two days and have not yet seen any one of consequence but trust and believe everything will be agreeable: firmness patience & prudence will be my guides and I can answer for the excellent conduct
