nature we may live to see the Catholic question carried: I am therefore most happy to find by your various accounts how small is the landed property vested in the [[underline]] Catholicks: I wish [[/underline]] not the question even agitated and much less carried: but I rejoice to find in the event of it's being ever carried so little prospect of Parliamentary influence can fall to the share of that persuasion: I have always thought too much importance has been attached by [[underline]] both sides [[/underline]] to the question: but I have ever seen great difficulties attending this measure and the Catholicks so far from endeavouring to make them easier by their conduct increase them.
