June 7: 1781. Dear Brother, I am exceedingly concerned at not being able to meet you, and wish you joy at Windsor upon your happy return from your long campaign. It will be infinite pleasure to me to hear of your being returned in health: I should be far more pleased at seeing yourself. I shall wait with great impatience for that agreeable moment, when I may see by myself, what I so much wish for. I am sure their Majesties, and all my brothers and sisters must have seen you again with the greatest joy. I am sure I envy them, and hope they excuse me for it. Pray, give my Duty to the King and Queen, and my love to my brothers, and sisters: for my part be ever assured, Dear William I am your truly affect:e brother, Edward
