Ems. June 29th: 1826. Dear Sir, Late last evening by a round about post from Frankfort Yours of 19th instant and it's various enclosures arrived and I return signed the proper papers. I am glad you and Merewether accompanied Augustus to Portsmouth and wish he had returned with you two as he ought. I hope with the fêtes at the Upper Lodge during the Epsom and Ascot weeks with your short expedition to Portsmouth and the attentions of Sr: W. Waller and Lady [[unclear]] thro' July and August with the recollection of Pope and together with the painters outside Bushy House
