No: 1. Walmer, May 21st: 1822. Dear Daniell, I am to acknowledge Yours of 28th instant and the various other papers: I return signed the Farm and Garden accounts. Elphick has properly credited Mr: Brind's 10 Pounds. You are doing right with Bennett and I only wish the time of our return was arrived: the weather is fine but hot: Lloyd is exorbitant in his demands: at the same time I will never do less than I have: the Coals he is to have of course: but as for the rent perhaps it may be paid half yearly: if not the thirty five Pounds must be given at once and write on the
