Dear Daniell, Yours of 8th. instant and its' various enclosures arrived yesterday and I return the usual papers signed and the list of furniture supplied to the new gardener: I hope he will answer and prove a good and honest servant: I have long had the worst opinion of Allen and rejoice he is gone: the sooner Menge is discharged the better: I approve altogether of the allowances to the new gardener and most highly of the premium on Rats: I think Coates right in his way of cropping for this season and ever remain, Yours sincerely William
