No. 1. Hanover August 19th: 1818. Dear Daniell, For the sake of exactness you and I had better number our letters. I found on my arrival here Yours of 7th instant and return as I shall always the [[underline]] Park Farm and Garden [[/underline]] accounts signed: the suit sent to Mr. Barton's was all right: poor Caracters must [[underline]] not [[/underline]] be starved and the Darces are to be preserved: I have [[underline]] perfect [[/underline]] confidence in Elphick and Coates and even in Allen with [[underline]] your [[/underline]] inspection: your mere good sense with the [[underline]] Park [[/underline]] being merely kept in order is all I can at present say: the [[underline]] Farm [[/underline]] requires clearing and draining and I trust the Board of Works will assist Coates respecting Caires' Wood: Coates will explain to you the [[unclear]] so far [[unclear]] and the Fences are
