I am pleased in Melve's Plan there being no ornaments but what are open to all courts [[unclear]] parts of a Bridge [[unclear]] that its [[unclear]] Beauty arises from the form of the whole and the harmony and proportions of its parts. If My Lord Bute will permit me to humble him on the occasion I will do my best & honour to wait upon him with both Plans when his Lordship's good sence will (I am sure) soon [[unclear]] my [[unclear]] If I am in an [[unclear]]. My Principal aim is to discharge my Trust with honour to the country & myself And I shall be glad to have the benefits of his Lordships judgment to direct my own. Do me the favour to present my best respects to his Lordship whose polite reception of me when I last had the honour of waiting upon him has left me under the greatest affections
