London Augt. ye. 2d 1746 Sir I had not time either of the two last posts, to inform you my self, that I had at last partly succeeded in my application to the king in favour of your Brother's Children; I should rather say, half succeeded, for I was able to obtain but half of the Pension you pray'd for in your memorial. However I thought it better to compound than to get nothing, and this small allowance may I hope be of some use to 'em at present, and I don't despair hereafter, of getting it increas'd when they grow older.
