[[/underline]] Copy of His Majesty's Writ [[unclear]] Privy Seal, appointing His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland [[underline]] Captain General [[/underline]] of All His Majesty's Land Forces, in Great Britain, as well as of Those employed abroad to Westminster the [[underline]] 11th: [[/underline]] Day of March [[underline]] 1745. [[/underline]] George the Second, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France & Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth. To our most dearly beloved son [[underline]] William Augustus [[/underline]] Duke of [[underline]] Cumberland [[/underline]] & Duke of [[underline]] Brunswick Lunenbourg [[/underline]] Greeting : We, reposing especial Trust & Confidence in your Prudence, Courage & Loyalty, have constituted & appointed, and by these Present do constitute & appoint you to be our [[underline]] Captain General [[/underline]] of [[underline]] All [[/underline]] and singular our [[underline]] Land Forces, raised [[/underline]] or to be [[underline]] raised [[/underline]] & [[underline]] employed [[/underline]] in our Service [[underline]] within [[/underline]] our [[underline]] Kingdom [[/underline]] of [[underline]] Great Britain [[/underline]] : And [[underline]] also [[/underline]] , of [[underline]] all [[/underline]] & singular our [[underline]] Land [[/underline]] : [[underline]] Forces [[/underline]] which [[underline]] are [[/underline]] or [[underline]] shall be [[/underline]] [[underline]] employed abroad [[/underline]] in [[underline]] Conjunction [[/underline]] [[catchword]] with [[/catchword]]
