Letter from Anne, Princess Royal to Mrs Clayton [GEO/ADD/28/147], forwarding from the Queen £100, which had been requested by the Duchess of Kent for Mr Saurin's [?] widow, reporting the Queen's decision to pay this annually at around the same time for the duration of the widow's life, and asking Mrs Clayton to ask the Duchess to take charge of the payment's distribution 'As she [the Queen?] is but a very indifferent menager [sic]'; with transcription [GEO/ADD/28/042].

Mama sends you the 100 pound that the Dutchess of Kent asked for Mr. Saurins widow. She orders me to let you know that she will pay it every year about this time, as long as the widow lives. as she is but a very indifferent manager you will be soe good to put the Dutchess of Kent in mind to take care of the distribution of it. you are soe good naturd & soe willing to oblige that a great many such commissions goe through your hands.
