Admiral Digby seemed dissatisfied at my not receiving a Mr. Waddington, but I really could not bring myself to do it, Captain Knight being very capable of giving instruction in the mathematics, and I am sure His Royal Highness must receive it to more advantage from an officer of Rank, as well as more satisfactorily than from a person, who has been a kind of Instructor for some years. besides I am clearly of opinion, that the Prince should now have his instruction from officers of His Royal Highnesses profession.
