In 1787 Lady Charlotte Finch had a home found for her in Sheet St Windsor & also extensive apartements at St. James' - She tried hard to educate her 3 grand daughters the Misses Fielding with the younger Princesses - but the Queen would not allow it - the King had elevated their father Capt. F. in the Navy as high as he could & Mrs. Fielding was made bed- chamber woman & more could not be done. Miss Finch came only by invitation - she was perfectly a Lady - Much
