Description

Thanking Lady Ely for her last letter and expressing deep sympathy for the recent sad event [the death of Lord Ely]. Adelaide is glad that Lady Ely's son will live with her - this will give her comfort.
She was visited by the Duchess of Kent and the Duke of Cambridge. The news of the resignation of ministers shocked everyone and no one knows who the successors will be - she pities the Queen [Victoria].
