Description

Thanking her for the nice letter received. The Queen has been affected by a cough caused by the constant fog in London, but she hopes to feel better once back in Windsor. The Queen is sorry to hear a sad account of Lady Ely's neighbourhood; she would be happy to see Lady Ely's daughter soon. The Queen's niece is still not well but the physicians are optimistic. The Queen's sister [Princess Ida of Saxe-Meiningen] and her children are well.
