William is happy that Lord Mayo is settling in the new house [Carlton House]; he will soon be required to take his seat in Parliament. He forwarded to the Duke of York [ Prince Frederick] Lord Mayo's letter concerning his nephew.
The Prince Regent has just recovered from a very severe fit of gout.
