On not writing sooner; her 'Favour'; the Coronation: 'by all accounts it was the most superb and magnificient Sight that ever was exhibited in Europe. The amazing number of Spectators, and the Joy that appeared in every Countenance; the Richness of the Cloaths, the elegant Patterns of the Silks, & their vast variety; the Profusion of Jewels, the Beauty of the Ladies, set off by all that Art & Elegance, assisted by Wealth, could furnish; displayed a Scene so grand and so enchanting, that some of the Spectators have declared they could scarce forbear imagining themselves transported to Fairy-Land'; compliments to 'Cousin Sanders' and family, 'all friends at Duffield: & also to dear Mr Thackray'.
