Referring to the two last accounts received from Bushy, William confesses one in particular caused him distress - although he trusts Daniell's assurance of the trustworthiness of Elphick and Turrell - he wishes to be updated on Bushy more often. He received a letter from the Scotch Knight informing William that the crops look promising - he hopes to find a large orderly pile of hay when he comes back.
