My Dear Miss Finch Indeed you are most Kind to think of us. All does appear most horrid, but we will trust in the Mercy [[underline]] of [[/underline]] God to [[underline]] Avert [[/underline]] the Evils which us poor Mortals are liable to, and which though (however horrid they seem) cannot happen without [[underline]] His Will. [[/underline]] ! the Events [[underline]] of [[/underline]] the last [[underline]] two Years [[/underline]] have convinced me so much nothing but the Goodness of God could have supported us under them that I cannot help saying like David. '[[underline]] the goodness of God endureth yet daily [[/underline]]' - & with that certainty [[underline]] I find myself a happy person at times [[/underline]], - truly [[underline]] thankfull for [[/underline]] the many blessings I yet enjoy - and [[underline]] often [[/underline]] very [[underline]] cheerfull in my Spirits [[/underline]] - I hope Dr Lady Cha is tolerably well & that you do not suffer by the continual change of Weather God bless You my Dr Miss Finch Ever Yr very truly Affte Augusta
