My dearest Son. I am to return You thanks for the Letter You sent me from Augustus & the Book from Vienna, which arrived safely Yesterday Morning. I am sorry that poor Augustus has been so nonwell ever since His Physician left Him as I fear that He will not meet with another that can know His Constitution equal to Domeyer. He had doubtless good reasons for parting with Him, but I fear He will feel His loss Severely. I have the pleasure to inform You that Charlotte goes on better & better every day even Kiate assures me that Her little Neck & backbone grow considerably better, lady Elgin has been seriously ill indeed, She begin to mend, but it will be slow. There is no danger
