Description

Augusta is sorry for not having answered before; she declares her attachment and sincerity of feelings. She has seen a lot of Lady Longhorn and she also received visits from the Lord and Lady Mayo and Mrs Smith [ Susan]. She received a good account from Eliza [Princess Elizabeth] - who just recovered from rheumatic fever.
Augusta transcribes here part of a letter from Lady William Gordon - Augusta is very happy Lady William will marry well.
