Letter from Princess Elizabeth to Miss Finch

Date Created

9 July 1806

Elizabeth, Princess (b. 1770)

Enquires after her health: 'I understand You have been three days quite Confined to Your room, which knowing Your excellent health I can attribute to its true cause the great anxiety you have gone through about Your Mother who, dear Soul, I understand has suffered & I fear does still suffer from the inflamation in her eye' Some of the words and letters appear to have been altered presumably with a view to improving legibility Signed With calculation on reverse in a different hand
