Letters and correspondence of Queen Charlotte with foreign nobility (typically European). The subjects of the letters principally: concern births, marriages, and deaths including letters of condolence; foreign ambassadors and ministers plenipotentiary; best wishes for the New Year.

These letters are primarily in French although some are written in Italian, few are written in English. These volumes appear to be in the hands of several copyists
