My dearest William. I cannot let Collonel Gouldsworthy leave England without charging Him with these few Lines for You. As we shall soon see one another I shall not say a great deal more but only advise You to consider the Necessity of beginning a very reasonable Conduct upon a rational & reasonable Plan without which You neither will nor ever can arrive to the Situation in Life You look for. You will have leisure enough to consider this before Your return, at which time we shall have a more explicit Conversation, until then I beg You to believe me Sincerely.
