The Queen thanks Lady Ely for the birthday wishes and for the present - a table for the Queen's cottage. She is well even if still sad for Louise's death. She hopes Lady Ely is recovering; there have been a few cases of the same illness in the Castle. The Duchess of Gloucester [Princess Mary] is still unwell. The King is well and sends his best wishes.
